This blog is for the children of Kid Zone at the Washington Crossing United Methodist Church and for anyone else who wants to listen in.
My hope is to post materials which will be fun, helpful and informative relating to the lessons that we will be sharing next week, and to give you a place to find things that will help you review and remember what you are learning. More than anything I want to help you and myself get to know God better.
Our church is using David C. Cook's Tru Curriculum, used by many churches, so it is possible other folks may stop by to visit. I'm not using any of David C. Cook's materials here, but I will be following their Scope and Sequence, adjusted by the times that our own lessons go to other resources. I plan to publish materials I have gathered for each week's lesson the week before that lesson, but then they will be available for later reference.

FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
When will you be posting new materials? I hope to publish materials a week ahead of the time that the lessons will be taught, so there won't be too much confusion for children visiting the site. If you are a teacher looking for materials on a future lesson, let me know via the guest book. I might have something that I can share.
What is the penguin for? What do penguins have to do with the Bible? Absolutely nothing. There are no penguins in the Bible, and real penguins don't read or wear glasses. You already knew that, didn't you? But when I was looking in a hurry to find cool pictures to make the Journals more fun, one of the things that I discovered was a set of penguin characters. I liked them. And the penguins looked better than some of the other pictures that I experimented with using. So, for right now, penguins are my mascot. That may change over time.
